Weapons, armor and the Blacksmith

Three kinds of equipment

Gear of the same element as the unit gives an extra stat bonus. Many pieces also have battle skills that only work for one element, one weapon type or one character, so read them before you equip.
Some units have an exclusive weapon made for them; it is linked from the unit's page in Units.
Upgrading
At the Blacksmith, spend Col and materials to raise a piece of equipment's level. Its maximum level depends on its rarity:

Evolving
When a piece reaches its max level you can evolve it: its rarity goes up by one, and its stats and max level rise. Evolving costs Col plus either a copy of the same equipment or an Evolution Ingot:

Not every piece can evolve, and some can evolve more often than others. Gear traded for fragments at the Exchange Shop cannot be evolved with ingots.
Protecting and selling
- Favorite: press and hold a weapon at the Blacksmith and turn its bookmark on. Favorites cannot be sold or used up as evolution material.
- Selling spare equipment gives Col.
- Storage: your equipment box has a limit. You can raise it with Memory Diamonds.
