Skill types
Players sorted sword skills (mostly SS3) by their shape and job:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| AoE | Area of effect: hits everything in an area |
| Line | Hits enemies along a straight line |
| Surround | Hits enemies all around the unit |
| Single target | Hits the space just in front, usually one enemy |
| Burst | A lot of damage in an instant |
| DPS | Damage per second: many hits over time |
| Clear | Defeats groups of weak enemies quickly, but less damage than burst or DPS |
| Buff / heal | Raises your own or your party's stats, or restores HP |
| Debuff | Lowers the enemy's stats |
| Shield / mitigation | A shield blocks one or two hits; mitigation cuts damage and ignores hit stun |
Many unit pages show this type next to the SS3, from the community database sheet.
Frame data
Advanced players measured actions in frames. The game runs at 60 frames per second, so one frame is about 16.7 ms.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Startup | Frames before the action hits |
| Active | Frames the hit lasts |
| Recovery | Frames before you can act again |
| Total | The whole action |
| Combo | The whole string of actions |
Fewer startup and recovery frames mean a faster, safer attack.
Unit and weapon numbers
The game numbers every unit with a code like 144002, which the community read as three parts:
- 14: the class (weapon and gender): 14 = female bow user,
- 4: the rarity,
- 002: the number within that class and rarity.
| Class | Weapon | Class | Weapon |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 / 2 | Sword (male / female) | 11 / 12 | Gun (male / female) |
| 3 / 4 | Dual Blades | 13 / 14 | Bow |
| 5 / 6 | Rapier | 15 / 16 | Rod |
| 7 / 8 | Dagger | 17 / 18 | Lance |
| 9 / 10 | Mace | 19 / 20 | Sword and Shield |
| 21 / 22 | Rifle |
The same numbers are used in this site's addresses. For example /units/16001 is class 1 (male sword), ★6, number 001: [Blue Rose in Full Glory] Eugeo.
